With things starting to open back up again after the long pandemic, we’re excited to check out some great events going on in the local Chester County PA area. With so many events going on this summer,  it’s hard to know where to start. That’s why we tried to make it easy for you and list our favorite top 5 summer events!

2022 Chester County Summer Events To Check Out With Family and Friends

1.) Victory Summer Love Music Festival –July 16th, 2022

If you love craft beer and good music, we highly recommend that you check out Victory Brewing Company’s latest event, Victory Summer Love Music Festival! This is a great family friendly event that is being held at their Parkesburg, PA brewery location. Grab some blankets and chairs, and relax out on the lawn with a cold brew. Ready to get your groove on? Kick off your summer by listening to some of the local jam bands that are playing throughout the day.

Enjoy tasty food and some of Victory’s top crafted classics such as their HopDevil, Headwaters Pale Ale, Golden Monkey, DirtWolf, and Storm King. While those brands are served year round, we can’t forget their classic Summer Love. So if you are looking for something to do in mid-July, check out Victory’s event and support this local Downingtown native brewery!

2.) Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show and Country Fair –July 19th through 23rd, 2022

Another great event you don’t want to miss is the Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show and Country Fair being held in Glenmoore, PA. This fair is going on for a few days in mid-July and is sure to be a winner in the books for a good time! If you have kids, nieces or nephews, check out the carnival rides and arcade games. For the little ones, go visit the princesses and take a photo to remember!

For more adult friendly activities, venture over to the beer garden for some hand-crafted brews by Stolen Sun Brewery. While you are taking in some fresh cold sips, why not play a game of Cornhole or Jenga? Watch out for the blocks as they can come tumbling down pretty fast if you’re not paying attention! Throughout the day, jam out to some great music and live performances.

3.) West Chester’s Goshen Country Fair –August 1st through 6th, 2022

This August, be sure to visit the legendary West Chester Goshen Country Fair in West Chester, PA. This is a huge event for the local area as many come from far and wide to participate in this momentous occasion. This fair has everything you need to have a good time!

Grab your friends and catch a ride on some of the roller coasters or check out the majestic views of the Chester County PA skyline from the top of the ferris wheel. Throw some darts to win a prized stuffed animal or munch of some fresh fried donuts. If you love animals, swing by the barn to pet some real live farm animals. You’ll find goats, cows, horses and more. Don’t forget to snap your pictures with your favorite animals!

With this being the 73rd annual country fair, it’s no wonder the local Chester County residents continue on with this exciting tradition!

4.) Downingtown Summer Jam Festival –August 6th 2022

This event is always near and dear to our hearts, because it’s held in Hyland Graphics’ local town, Downingtown, PA. Meet up with friends and family, and head to Kerr Park for some summertime music jams at the Downingtown Summer Jam Festival! Be sure to get some blankets and chairs so you can sit comfortably on the grass to listen to some great tunes. For the adults, stop by the beer garden for some refreshing brews or sparkling wines.

5.) Kennett Square Mushroom Festival –September 10th through 11th, 2022

If you are looking for something to do late summer, head on over to the famous Kennett Square Mushroom Festival! Kennett Square is widely known a

s the mushroom capital of the world as it produces over half the mushrooms in the United States. This year marks the 37th annual Mushroom Festival and continues to live out all its glory! Here, you can explore downtown Kennett Square and try different types of mushroom samples. From mushroom soup, appetizers to desserts, you will find it all here! If you want to participate, volunteer to take part in the mushroom cook-off contest or mushroom eating contest. Though we do warn you, stomach aches may occur if you eat too many mushrooms.

Walk down State Street, Kennett Square PA to view some of the local vendor booths where you can find handmade jewelry to mushroom themed crafts. There’s no limit to what you can find here at the legendary Mushroom Festival. Don’t be surprised if you see a person walking around in a mushroom costume. If you do, definitely snap a pic to document the occasion!
