As a local web design company in Chester County, we love to support our local community and the businesses around us. If you haven’t booked your calendar these next two months, be sure to check out our recommendations.
We’re here to tell you about some of our top 5 favorite activities going on this fall in Chester County and the surrounding area!
Bates Motel
If you love a good scare, we highly recommend checking out the Bates Motel in Glen Mills, PA. They have an assortment of activities you can participate in, from a terrifying hayride to the haunted mansion, you will be sure to find someone or something watching you.
Take a stroll under the full moon. Walk down the haunted corn field and through the maze. But watch out! Something may be lurking in the stalks.
Highland Orchards
We’re all about enjoying some family fun this fall, and what better way to celebrate than by going to Highland Orchards in West Chester, Pa? This beautiful orchard is a great place to spend a day exploring, picking apples, and taking pictures.
Grab some snapshots at pumpkin patch while you and your family rock out the plaid. If you are looking for something sweet, head down to the apple orchards to go apple picking. If you are looking for something sweeter, they have some amazing homemade donuts and ice cream available by the main entrance.
But before you go, make sure you have time to stuff your own scarecrow and bring it back home with you to place it on your front porch for display!
Phoenixville Harvest Festival
Bring the family over to downtown Phoenixville and enjoy a fun filled day of activities, sweets, live entertainment and more! Grab your trick-or-treat bags and check out trunk-or-treat for some handfuls of candy. Better yet, go try some delicious foods being offered at the different food trucks.
From bouncy houses to face-painting and raffle giveaways, this event is sure to be a winner in the books! This is all going on Saturday, October 29th at the Phoenixville Rec Center.
Longwood Gardens
While this is a great place to visit year round, the best time to go is when they have their Christmas display up. This starts November 18th, 2022 and offers gorgeous botanical gardens covered in lights and garlands. Find yourself in a winter wonderland as you can walk down a path of nearly a half-millions lights.
If you can’t wait till the Christmas display opens, we also recommend visiting the evening light display going on right now by Bruce Munro. Stroll down the exhibit in the evening to view some incredible landscaping of lights.
Kennet Square Mushroom Drop
If you are looking to add to your New Years Eve plans, head over to downtown Kennett Square for the 10th annual Mushroom Drop. Enjoy some live entertainment and delicious foods as you wait for the final count down for the mushroom to drop! And yes, we said mushroom. Similar to the New Years Eve ball drop in New York, but with a touch of fungus.
When it comes to the countdown, you’ll get to watch a giant Mushroom decorated in lights drop from the sky to bring in the new year! If this isn’t on your bucket list yet, we highly advise that you go check it out.
